Ultimate Vegan Beef Burger

We’ve done it - we’ve decoded the ultimate vegan beef burger so you can make your very own plant-based version at home! Using our NEW Deliciou Plant-Based Beef, you can now sink your teeth into a big juicy plant-based beef patty with all the fresh trimmings. Sandwiched between a sesame seed bun, special sauce, pickles, onions and shredded lettuce, this recipe is CRAZY authentic and 100% delicious.

Ingredients:
For the beef:
- 1 Box Deliciou Plant-Based Beef
- 2 Tbsp plain flour
- 275ml chilled water
- 2 Tbsp oil
- ¼ tsp salt
- 4 sesame seed buns, cut in half (or thirds for 2 tiered burger)
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 8 slices vegan cheese
- Sliced pickles
- 8 leaves iceberg lettuce
- ½ cup vegan Special Sauce (or see recipe)
- 1/2 cup vegan mayo
- 2 Tbsp ketchup
- 1 Tbsp yellow mustard
- 2 Tbsp pickle juice
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- In a bowl, mix together the beef ingredients and shape into 4 thick patties (or 8 thinner patties for 2 tiered burger).
- In a well oiled pan, fry the burger patties over a medium heat for 2-3 minutes each side until browned.
- Using the same pan, toast the buns face down for a minute each to crisp up.
- To assemble the burger, spread the base of the burger bun generously with the Special Sauce and top with lettuce, a beef patty, cheese, some diced onion and pickles (repeat for 2 tiered burger). Top with burger lid to serve.
